The Ford Model-T Automobile Plant. At the beginning of the 20th Century, Detroit became the centre of American car production
hosting the "Big Three" factories (Chrysler, Ford and General Motors), creating the ultimate "Motor City". By the early Sixties,
Detroit's automotive industry was outsourced to foreign and domestic regions. In 1952 the factory produced over 1,000 cars
a day, but ceased production in the 1970s and now lies abandoned. Detroit, 2008.
